An hour of sublime music by the chan

The concert was wonderful. We were visiting Prague as tourists for a few days, and this will remain one of our favorite memories of the trip. Beyond the city's must-see attractions, we were fortunate enough to experience a truly beautiful and unforgettable evening of music.

Excellently performed, verey enjoyable and felt worthwhile for that price.

started right on time, played wonderfully

The Smetana Hall in Municipal House is stunningly beautiful. I've been there several times. The performance on 10 April 2026 by a chamber group of strings and harpsichord was the best of Vivaldi's Four Seasons that I have heard. I took my son and his family who were visiting Prague for the first time. We ate in the fabulous French restaurant before the concert.

I went into this thinking of it as mostly an opportunity to check out the Smetana Hall (I hadn't been able to find the guided tour tickets due to their mobile website not working properly - it's only later that I thought of checking the desktop version, and sure enough there were the visit tickets - WELL worth doing too for the other 9 rooms of Community House) Seeing the very predictable, tourist-friendly playlist, I wasn't expecting too much, but I found myself completely engrossed in these ten artists' careful interpretation of these beasts of classical standards. These surroundings, their heart-stopping beauty, their nationally significant history and their perfect acoustics all contributed to draw from these well-known, (and maybe too-often trodden) notes a sense of freshness, with occasional glimpses, for me at least, into how it must have felt to hear them for the first time.

Nous avons adoré ! Nous étions en famille avec nos enfants de 20 ans. Un moment sublime dans un lieu sublime. Je recommande à 100%!

Incredibly talented musicians, great choice of songs but for my opinion too short for the price. 1.5 hours would do more for the ticket prices.

We booked our tickets last minute during our visit to Prague. The concert was wonderful, we’d highly recommend.

The string chamber orchestra, while smaller than anticipated, were wonderful, a delight to listen to. I was somewhat underwhelmed by the way that the seats were allocated however (the impression being that it was nearly sold out, rather than the reverse).
